Max Marken, Fire Chief, ca. 1988

"Max Marken, seated, was the second fire chief of Superior Township. Max was chief from 1954-1981 and served the department for over 40 years (1953-1994). He has restored an old Ford Model T fire truck and provided rides for families during the annual Dixboro Festival. The girl to his right is Anna Freeman." Photograph by Dale R. Leslie.
