Chapter 1 Ð The Weird Appearance
It has been forty-seven days without a binary sunset. Something is wrong. Getting one portion for handing in a well-conditioned droid is one thing, but, this is something else. No one knows what happened, it just disappeared. Everyone here on Gammonion thinks that the Imperial Forces blew it up to make way through our system. This planet is just a huge junkyard of stuff that you would never imagine. Gammonion has creatures such as Lacsars and Sheckers. Just to let you know, my name is Ian Checkerson. I am a scavenger who always thinks about whatÕs going on around me. Today was a bad day for me. I went to the water station and there wasnÕt any more water left. I asked Tyler what had happened to all of the water, he just said to me, ÒMaybe Lerio took it to his palace to drink all of it for himself.Ó I was not surprised. Lerio is a man of grief. He treats us horribly by burning our skin off if we do not get him at least ten cans of copter meals a year. We are basically slaves. I went down to get my food for the day, but, I noticed something in the sky. It looked like a big crater was going to hit our planet. I pulled up my binoculars out of my satchel to get a better look. Up in the sky was a giant starship that was heading directly toward us! It got closer and closer! Then, I realized what was happening.
Chapter 2 Ð The Appearance of Disaster
The moment came when the starship landed and fear struck everyoneÕs eyes. Out of the shuttle came ten gold-medaled troops. The most advanced soldiers in the Imperial Military! Then came the silver-medaled troops. These troops carried flame throwers. Then, he came. Lord Ancrius . The evil and dreadful man who controls this despicable horror machine. Everyone here tried to hide, but the troops seem to always find them. I asked Tyler, ÒWhat if they find us?Ó He lost track for a second, then said, ÒWeÕll be taken as prisoner and forced into torture,Ó he said with a worried smile. Next thing we knew, Janice, Ben, Josh, and Bill ran over. Janice said, ÒAre you guys okay?Ó I responded, ÒYah, weÕre okay, what about you guys?Ó Josh then said, ÒWeÕre fine, whereÕs Olivia?Ó Then, Olivia ran up the side of the building and said, ÒIÕm here, but, weÕve got to start running!Ó Gold-medal troops appeared, running in our direction. I paused for a moment. Around the bend came Lord Ancrius, with Commander Scotch. All of my friends were handcuffed within a few seconds, then, I was handcuffed. We were doomed. They put us on this huge shuttle, probably the Dark LordÕs ship. After a few hours, we reached Crankend. Crankend is the home of the ImperialÕs main station. I was put in the cell with Tyler. We saw the schedule for us and our jaws fell wide open. God only knows what may become of us.
