Swish! Swish! Try To Catch Me!
A girl named Alyssa, was walking home from school. She was scared though, because in 5 days she has a soccer game.
And to be honest Alyssa isn’t a very good player, and her slowness made her get the ball stolen, luckily she was a great
inventor. She got an A+ every science class. She decided to make something so she could go faster. She arrived at home and she told her mom, “Mom, I’m home! I am going to do homework!” She was lying, “Ok just come down at 6 for dinner!” “Ok!” So she started down the hall, up the stairs to her room.
She closed the door and went over to her desk, she was smart so she finished her homework quickly. Then she got to
work, she started to think and then it came to her. I am going

to make extra fast little rockets and put them into my cleats.
She got to work, she didn’t need any material because, she was very organized, and Alyssa had just about any material she needed to invent anything.
Alyssa gathered all the materials she needed to work with... It was 4, only 2 more hours ‘till dinner. She went fast but
made sure she didn’t make any mistakes. She finished at 5:55, she had extra material so she made a remote to control the cleats quickly she put them in her cleats, then suddenly heard her mom calling, “Alyssa, come down for dinner!” “Coming mom, just let me finish this math problem!” She lied again. She took a quick glance back at her cleats wishing it would work, and then she scattered down the stairs to the table.......
Finally it was the morning of the soccer game. She hasn’t tried them yet so her mom wouldn’t think anything suspicious
was going on.
So she hoped they would work. She quickly ate breakfast
and got her soccer clothes on and her water bottle ready, because they are leaving for the soccer game in 10 minutes.
About 10 minutes later, she was ready and it was time to go. She got her soccer bag and got her special cleats, then
headed for the car. Her mom asked, “Why are you in such a rush?” “I...um...,guess I am...um ...just excited I guess. They got in the car and it was a home game so it was just 10 minutes away.
In the car her mom put on the radio and Ariana Grande was singing problem! She loved it, she hummed along ‘till they
got there. “We are here her mom told her. “I am so excited!
Oh! I see Emily.” “Is that a girl from your team?” “Yah! Of course Emily is the best player!”
`They got out Alyssa started chatting with her friends as her mom got a chair from the back. They started their warm up
for the game and Alyssa was scared of what her teammates would think. Especially her mom. She got on the field and decided to keep her rockets turned off, she didn’t realize it but she had a hole in her pocket so the remote to the rockets fell out of her pocket!
A girl named Tanya picked it up and hid it in her bag. Now Tanya was one of those jealous girls so Tanya wanted to be the
best. As the game started Alyssa wasn’t put in until the 2nd half of the game. It was time for her to go in. She wiggled her fingers in her pocket to search for the remote but she couldn’t

find it! She looked all over for it, but she had to go into the game.
She went in and on the benches Tanya was sitting with the remote, but Alyssa didn’t know that. Tanya decided to see what
the big green “GO” button meant. She clicked it and Alyssa didn’t have the ball, so suddenly steam came out of Alyssa’s cleats and she started going super fast! She slammed into the girl with the ball and took it! She rammed into the goal and scored! It was amazing everyone tried to stop her but she couldn’t stop it! Tanya saw so she pressed the button “STOP” and Alyssa stopped. She was so embarrassed.
The ref blew the whistle and the game was over. Alyssa took out the rockets and put it on her bag then went over to her mom and started crying while explaining, “I am so sorry I
just wanted to be the fasted on the team!” “It’s ok. Let’s go
home.” While that was happening Tanya stole the rockets and took them home.
Alyssa gathered her stuff and forgot about the rockets and they went home. The next day everyone heard, Tanya quit. But
she wasn’t done with soccer just yet. She had other plans, of what to do with these rockets.
