The Adventures of The Gods Chapter 1 - The Surprise from the Titans Once in the city of Olympus the gods were chatting away at yet another problem in the world. However, they did not realise that an evil demigod working for the evil Lord Cronus snuck into the throne room and stole the Helm of Darkness from Hades. This was possible because it was the winter solstice, the only day of the year when Hades can come to Olympus! When Hades saw that his helm was gone he flew into a blinding rage!! He thought one of the other gods had put their children up to it, but the gods were just as surprised as Hades that his helm was gone. Before the demigod could get out of the city of Olympus he had to fight off a few minor gods. The demigod’s name was Jay Richardson, a son of Apollo, and the very best at archery. He was seen by Hercules and had to fight him but he got away. However, now Hercules knew that Jay had the helm, so he went and told the gods. Cronus was waiting outside. Zeus sensed his father’s presence. But Cronus would not come without his fellow Titans and a huge army! The Titans all had quite a lot of magical powers! The gods summoned their armies! Hades had an undead army and Zeus had a sky army, but Poseidon had his army underwater. However, this impressive combination of forces did not have enough power to get the helm! The gods were very stressed so they called for a half-blood army led by Hercules himself! The half- blood army was in New Jersey and needed time to get to the battle in Central Park. The gods were initially no match for the Titans because they’re combined strength was unbelievable! Ares got run over by a legion of giants and so did Apollo, Hera and Hermes! The gods were having a colossal struggle to fight the Titans, but then things got turned around when the half-bloods arrived! Hercules smashed and clashed his way through the Titans with his incredible strength. It looked like the gods had won, but the Titans had another trick up their sleeve. Hercules ran right into Hyperion, the Titan of the East, the Titan of Light, the most powerful of all Titans! Even worse Cronus was with him! He is the Titan of Eternal Time, Evil and the Harvest. The gods saw what was happening but they were distracted by all the fighting happening around them. Hades kept summoning up worthless zombies that the enemy dealt with very easily. Zeus had a legion of giants on him. Poseidon did a good job fighting off the enemy, but they just kept coming! Chapter 2 The Rage of Zeus Finally, Hercules gave out and got stabbed in the gut by Hyperion. Zeus flew into a blinding rage because his son had died. The ground started to rumble. The Titan’s and their army stared in awe at what Zeus was doing. Hades saw his chance to summon his zombies but they were of no use. Zeus let out a burst of lightning and light and fried the Titan army in their tracks. The gods suddenly got more powerful by the minute because they were motivated by what Zeus had done. One-by-one the defeated Titans crawled back to the depths of Tartarus where they would be imprisoned for the next eon. Hyperion fought with Cronus against the gods until they too ran out of power and got cast back to Tartarus for the next millennia. But Cronus did not have the Helm of Darkness. Richardson still had it. Cronus said that Typhon, the storm giant was planning to come but he wasn’t coming. Chapter 3 Finding Richardson Before the battle, the Titans had tried to summon up Typhon to take Richardson to their kingdom. However, after the battle, Jay was not informed that Typhon was not coming. He stood around looking for him, but Typhon still did not come. So Jay ran. Meanwhile the gods sent their armies to find the helm. Ares, the god of war also went. Jay had to get all the way across the United States to get to the Titans base in California. However, Jay did not make it even a mile before he was found by the armies of the gods. Richardson tried to stop them with arrows, but little things don't bother the gods’ royal armies. Richardson had three guards, but that was nothing to Ares. So, all Jay could do was run! Ares got into his war chariot and chased him down. Ares imprisoned Richardson in Tartarus, which is really harsh. Once Hades got his helm back he went straight to his private palace in the underworld, but first he made the gods swear on the River Styx to upgrade their security on Olympus. After the security upgrades, each god and goddess had two cyclops guards standing next to them. Five cyclops stood guarding the door with three minor gods, usually Phobos and his brother Deimos and Hecate, the gods of fear, terror and magic. See you next time the gods have another adventure!
