The Gold Waterfall
Lisa sat on a rock and stared at a waterfall. It’s not any old waterfall Lisa thought. It’s a gold waterfall. Lisa looked at the entirely gold waterfall. The water was like yellow-gold color that was running smoothly like honey coming out of a bottle. The base part of waterfall was made of gold.
Lisa loved the gold waterfall. It’s her favorite place to go. She loved how the gold shimmered in the sunlight but her favorite part was her secret hide out. I think I will go there right now, she thought. She got into the water and started swimming to her hide out. She had covered her hide out with pieces of broken gold from the waterfall. She took out the broken pieces of gold and went inside. The tunnel led to a cave. The cave looked scary but when you go inside it is not scary. Lisa had gotten some roses and sunflowers beside the waterfall and put it on the old table she got from home. I need to paint the cave she thought. So she went home and got blue, yellow, orange, purple, green and red paint.
Her mother called out to Lisa before she went to the waterfall. “Come back home on time for dinner”. Lisa rolled her eyes. Her mother was always worried about her. She grabbed her paint buckets and ran to the waterfall. The gold waterfall shimmered in the afternoon sunlight. Her long blond hair was flying behind her. She went into the cave, set her paint down and started painting. After half an hour later she finished painting. She painted the cave walls in a rainbow color with stars and polka-dots. She loved it so much that she told herself “If my house ever gets broken I will live here”.

Then Lisa went home. Lisa went inside her house but did not find her mother. “Mom” she cried over and over again but she couldn’t find her. Then she found a note on the kitchen fridge. It said “We are coming for you next” and it had a snake stamp on the paper. Lisa did not know what it meant but then it hit her. Her mom has been kidnapped so the people who kidnapped her mom was coming for Lisa next. Lisa did not know what to do. After thinking for 1 minute she knew what to do. She ran outside her house to the waterfall. Then she went into her secret hideout. She stayed there for days.
One day she hears footsteps. Lisa was so scared but it was only Katie, the girl who lives next door. “Hi” she said as she looked around the cave. Then she said “Pretty cave”. “Thanks” I said. She asked me what I was doing here. I told her about the note and I showed her the note. When she looked at the note she looked like she was trying to figure out something. Then her face looked alarmed. She told me that the stamp was the official stamp of the FHS. What is the FHS I asked? She said the FHS were people who kidnap people and steal money from people. She said her mom also has been kidnapped but she did not get a note. We have to live somewhere else. Where should we go I asked? She said we need to find a place quickly. Maybe we could go through the waterfall I said. “Are you crazy”?!! She asked. “Can we please try it please” I said. Fine she said but only once. So we went through the waterfall and it was amazing. Even Katie loved it. The place inside the waterfall was made of gold. The water was reflecting the gold so we had to shield our eyes most of the time. When we reached the end of the tunnel we were teleported to another world.

The world we were in looked amazing. Everything was gold. The trees are gold the birds were gold even the sky was gold. Amazing she thought. Even Katie looked stunned. “We should go explore” I said. Everywhere they went there would gold, gold and more gold. “We should go back to your cave”. “Yes I said nodding my head it’s getting late lets go” Lisa said walking through the waterfall Katie following behind me. I invited Katie to sleep with me at the cave. She said yes because she didn’t like to sleep in her house because she felt scared to sleep without her mom. Next day, we woke up early because we wanted to see inside of the waterfall again which we call “The Gold World”. Lisa and Katie both loved that the whole world was gold but their favorite part was what they called the “Twin Trees”. The trees were attached together and they look very alike, like twins except one grew gold apples and the other grew gold oranges. We both had such an adventure. Then we went back to my cave but when we were walking through the waterfall, trouble arrived. Two men were standing there looking at us straight in the eye. His stare sent a chill through my spine. Then Katie whispered to me “RUN” she said and we both ran to “The Gold World”. The two men were running behind us shouting “STOP, STOP”. Katie short out of breath but she said “Those men are in the FHS”.
Lisa and Katie hid behind the “Twin Trees” but the men found the girls. They took their guns out and was about to shoot the girls but a growl interrupted them. Lisa and Katie took a tiny peek just in time to see the men running away screaming “HELP ME, HELP ME”. They looked up to see what had caused the men to run away. There stood a gold lion and a gold tiger growling at the men. Then the gold lion and the gold tiger went to the girls and licked them. The girls knew this was the only chance to find their moms so they followed the men to where

the FHS lived. It was a very dirty place but the dirt did not stop the girls, they were desperate to find their moms.
The girls stayed behind some trees until midnight when the FHS were sleeping. Lisa and Katie went to look in backyard and saw to garbage bags with holes in them. Then the garbage bags started moving around. Lisa was scared but Katie said “Maybe are moms are in there” with a hopeful glance at the garbage bags. So they removed the plastic bags. Their moms were in there confused. “Girls said Lisa’s mom what are you doing here”? “Let’s get out of here first said Katie’s mother the girls can explain to us what’s going on when we get home”. When they reached their houses they saw their houses were destroyed because of a thunder storm last night. “I know where we could live” said Lisa sharing a smile with Katie. Next day, they showed their moms the “The Gold World”. Their moms loved it and said we are definitely going to live here. 1 day later they moved in. The girls showed their moms the “Twin Trees” and showed them their animal friends. They all lived happily ever after.
