CANCELED: Library Camp 2020
Friday April 17, 2020: 9:00am to 4:00pm
Information Professionals, Graduate Students, And Anyone With An Interest In Libraries.
Due to circumstances beyond our control, this event has been canceled. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Library Camp will take place on Friday, April 17, 2020!
This free unconference at the Ann Arbor District Library is aimed at library and information science professionals, paraprofessionals, and students at all levels. The goal is to discuss and expand our thinking on library practices, trends, challenges, and to share our ideas, success stories, and not-so-successful stories. Take a look at a previous year's schedule for an idea of the sorts of topics we might discuss.
This year, we'll start with a ZingTrain session - Building A Culture of Great Service - customized specifically for libraries.
After lunch, we'll break into unconference-style breakout sessions, filling a blank schedule for the afternoon with ideas and suggestions from attendees. Bring your ideas and quandaries. AADL staff will be on hand to help with directing the conversation, but like any unconference, the event is led by whoever shows up!
Here's the plan:
9:00 - 9:30 am — Welcome and Bagel Breakfast
9:30 - 11:00 - ZingTrain: Building A Culture of Great Service
11:00 - 12:00 - Breakout session 1 (including a Learn-to-Solder option)
12:00 - 1:30 pm - Lunch (on your own)
1:30 - 2:15 pm - Breakout session 2 (topics determined by attendees the day of)
2:15 - 3:00 pm - Breakout session 3
3:15 - 4:00 pm - Breakout session 4
3:45 pm - Wrap Up
4:00 pm - Conclude
Hope you can join us on Friday, April 17, 2020!
