The Ann Arbor water works company have been exceedingly fortĂșnate of late in finding water in great abundance on their property. They now have seven flowing wells which furnish 800,000 gallons of water a day. This is in addition to their previous abundant supply of water and assures the city from water famineformanyyearstocome. The wells are from 5o_to 65 feet deep and have all been bored in the twelve acres of land the company owns near its works. The wells are forty feet above the river bed. A test well put down last week flowed 85,000 gallons a day. Within two feet of it another test well was put down Wednesday and flowed freely and with great force ; yet the supply in the first was not in the least dimin ished. The wells threw up stones as large as dove eggs. The company and the city are alike to be con gratulated on the discovery of these flowing wells.
