WIXSTED, Conn., Maren 24.- The governor's fast day proclamation was not read in any nL the churches Sunday as has been the custom. The town clerk, George Wentworth, a Democrat, did not furnish the official proclamation to the pastors oL the different churches, andsays that his reason for not doing so was that he did not recognize Bulkeley as governor.
