LANSING, Mich., March 28.- The Doran bill, fixiug the amount of speciflc taxes to be paid by the mining companies during the next two years, was killed in the senate yesterday, and in its place was introduced a substituto bill requiring that mining and smelting companies shall come under the general taxation laws.
