Lansing, Mich., April 14.- Advance sheets of the Michigan farm statistics f or the last year show an unsatisfactory condition of thiugs. The total val ue of the three leading crops of wheat, corn, and oats is given as $31,373,000, and the total cost of production and marketing is placed at $40,600,u00, a loss of $9,227,000. To the cost, however, is added 7 per cent. interest on the land at $56 per acre in the southern counties and 134 in the other portions of the state. On this basis the farmers lost on the three crops all interest on their lands. The hay erop was more profltable. In the whole state the cost of the erop was $9,900,000, and its value $14,000,000, a net profit of 7 per cent. of the value of the land on which it was grown.
