The contest of the Northern Oratorical League, which takes place in University Hall, next Friday evening, is a new feature of college life in Ann Arbor. The league was organized last May and is composed of four of the leading colleges in the country. This being the first annual contest it is hoped that the citizens and students will give it a good start by their generous support. This will also be the only opportunity for a number of years that Ann Arbor people will have of witnessing the contest of'the league, as it goes to the different colleges in turn. The prizes offered have been such as to bring out a large number of competitors, as the winner is to receive $100 and the second man $50. Our citizens should have a special interest in the outcome, inasmuch as the representative of the U. of M. is a resident of this city. Tickets and reserved seats can be secured at Moore & Taber's, to-day.
