St. Louis, Mo., April 27 -The historie okl log cabia in St. Louis county, which the late Gen. U. S. Grant erected with his owd hands, and with logs cut and hewed by himself- his first and probably his happiest home- is about to be removed from its present site and shippcd to Chicago, where it wil! be re-erected for exhibition at the World's Fair. The cabin was erected in 1854 and is in a remarkably good state of preser vatio u. The house is fifty feet long and twenty feet wide, and is divided into four large rooms.
