NEW York, April 27.- A cable dispatch to The Herald from Port-au-Prince saya the squadron of evolutiou, acting rear admiralin command, has sailed for Norfolk, and it is announced that the Haytien government has refused to grant the United States the lease for the proposed coaliug station at Mole St. Nicholas. Admiral Gherardi had charge of the negotiation, and it was believed that the arrival of Admiral Walker's command, in addltion to Gherardi's force previously here, iuJicatgd that the United States intended to back up the demand with sufficient show of force to iusure the consent of Hayti. If such was the intention the result has proved a failure.
