Cavalry Charge A Mob
Ltons, May a- May Day in this city was attended by exciting scènes. A arge crowd of men, followed by a multitude of vromen and childreu, paraded the Btreets bearing red banners. The pólice attempted to disperse the crowd, and a general tnelee followed. Mauy arrests were made, aud tbe rioters confcinued to defy the pólice until 10 o'clock at nigbt, when the cavalry charged the mob, disperslng it aud injuring maay. Sixty arrests were made.
