The Lansing correspondent of the Detroit Tribune gives the latest concerning the tearing up of the South Lyon branch as follows: "As a result of a conference held to-day by Railroad-Commissioner Whitman, Attorney-General Ellis and several interested parties who made donations to secure the construction of the recently abandoned branch of the Toledo, Ann Arbor & North Michigan railroad between South Lyon and Leiand, the attorney-general will ask the supreme court for leave to commence quo warranto proceedings in the name of the people to require said road to show cause why it should not forfeit its charter for its action in tearing up its track on the branch above mentioned. Proceedings will be commenced as soon as the necessary papers can be prepared."
