ST. Paul, Mlnn., May 13. -John Roche, city controller sinca 1864, dropped dead in a cable car in this city as he was en route to the depot to meet his wife. He was 60 years oíd, and carne here in 1852 f rom New York city. His widow, a son at Northfield, Minn., and two daughters in New York survive him.
