Mrs. Lulu Walker has returned from her southern trip. Mrs. Otis, of Chicago, lias been visiting Mrs. J. M. Wheeler. J. B. Bent left yesterday for Boston and the seaside for a vacation. C. W. Mellor sails for England, July ist, on the steamer Lake Ontario. Miss Rebecca Henriques leaves to-day for a visit in New Haven, Conn. John Maynard is expected this evening from California, to visit his father. Mrs. Lichtenberg, of Detroit, is visiting her daughter, Mrs. Rosenthaler. Mrs. D. Thomas, of Schoolcraft, has been the guest of Mrs. R. C. Barney. Mr. and Mrs. N. P. Jacobs, of Chicago, are Mrs. Jacobs' mother, Mrs. J. Storms. Daniel O 'Keef e has returned from his trip to the mines of Kentucky and Northern Tennessee. Frederick Schmid attended the meeting of the board of control of the Pontiac asylum last week. Hon. Chas. H. Richmond addressed the legislature last week in behalf of the World's Fair appropriation. W. Hatch Walden, of Union City, Ind., who graduated from the law department last year, was in the city yesterday, the guest of F. G. Osgoód. Grand Commander William G. Doty and Mrs. Doty left for Detroit last evening, where Mr. Doty will preside over the Grand Commandery Knights Templar in session this week.
