Lanslng, Mich., May 26.- Governor Wlnans ha9 vetoed a bilí which had as8ed the legislatura appi-opriating $30,XX) ot' state fuuds for the entertainment of the visitors to the state during the encampment of the Grand Army of the lepubïic at Detroit next August. The veto was based on constitutional grounds, the goveruor holding the appropriation o be the diversión of public funds to a private purpose, and it was not unexected, as the governor had already etoed bilis iuvolving tbe same principie. An effort will be made to pass the bill over the veto. The failure to get the money t'rom the state will cut no figure on Detroit's entertainment of the G. A. R.
