PADUCAH, Ky., May 27.- Charles Hong, a Chinese laundryman of this city, and Miss Lula Mathis, a pretty young white wonian, were married Monday evening by Judge Boone, at the residence oL the ride's mother. Hong has been in tLis uountry ten years, reads and writes Engish well, and is thoroughly Americanzed, except in regard to the queue, which ie still carries. The bride is under legal age, and her mother forsome time refused o give her consent, but learning that the couple had laid plans for an elopemeut, she relented, and the knot was tied with ïer consent and blessing:
