Washington City, June 1.- No advices from the Charleston were received at the navy department Saturday, and she ia probably still at Callao coaling. No information can be obtained at the departement as to what instructions have been sent her, but the opinión is that she has received orders to discontinue her efforts to capture the Itata, and it is believed that an arrangement for the peaceful surrender of the Itata has been made, and that she will be turned over to this government for trial. The Charleston should finish coaling Ssturday, and, if her machinery is in order, proeeed on her voyage, but to what point cannot be learned here. Some think she will proceed to Iquique, while others express the opinión that she will return to San Francisco and be held in readiness for duty in Behring sea should her services be required there.
