The christian influences which re spread around the students have mch to do with their future success n life. The absence of that influence has brought miany a good, noble young unan to just such a position as I now occupy. With best wishes for its sucoess, I am, Eespectfully, No. 479-9. Jacksooi, June 3, 1891. The feeling, I believe, is universal hat the building has stood long enough unfinished, and it should be put in shape to be used at once. While :t will be under the control of the Cliristian association, it is for the benefit and use of every student or any one else who. will avail himself of the advantages offered. Although the work will not be quite inished, the boord of trustees have decided to dedicate the building on Simday, June 21st, at 4 p. m. It is lvo.ped that we will be able to raise in pledges the ainount needed to cancel all iadebtedness, before the hour of dedicatickn. This should not be a difficult thtng to do. There ought to be 1,000 persons in this city who will give on an average $3 which would help ua out. If you cannot give a large sum, a small one will be very aceeptable. If you cannot pay now, give lis a pledge payaible in 60 or 90 days or even on or before Jan. 1, 1892. It is impossible for me to ask you all personally, so' don't wait to be seen, but eend me your contributions immediately. Any sum however large or small will be highly appreciated. It is a matter ia -uhich the old and young oaix assist. Fill oñe of the blanks, cut out and send at once.
