Cambridge, Mass., June 10.- The latest of the Cambridge liquor raids, supplementing those of last week on the Harvard society houses, is the most peculiar of all. The funeral of a Mrs. Cowen, of Bingham, took place Sunday afternoon. The procession started from the house with a large number of mourners in carriages. It had not gone far when it was stopped by policemen, who searched the carriages for liquor, which they assumed to be an accompaniment of an IrishAmerican funeral. The only thing : they got was the execration of the people in the carriages. It is not improbable that the officers will soon find themselves defendants in lawsuits.
