The Preacher Counterfeiters Convicted

DUQUOIN, Hls., June 8. - The news of the conviction of the preacher counterfeiters, Holmes and Vancil, has been received here. Both pleaded guilty, Holmes receiving three years in the penitentiary and Vancil one year. While but a few people here doubted their guilt, the entire populace is surprised at the very Hght sentence they received.
