SprisofieU), Hls., June 22. -A serious accident occurred on the Chicago and Alton railroad early yesterday morning at a point between Elkhart and WUliamsville. Soon after the passenger train passed aouth a freight, with two engines attached, pulled out of Williamsville, and started north. After proceeding about two miles it collided with an engine and caboose coming south. Three engines and six cars were torn to pieces, and Engineer George Brown, of Bloomington, was fatally injured. Two other trainmen were slightly injured.
