Visiting Wheelmen
About twenty-five visiting wheelmen from Grand Rápida, wers in tlie city, Tuesday and were royally entertained by the Wolverine club of this city.' Tnis did not prevent some of our men froni taking the prizes, however, Edward Stabler iunninig the ten raile race on the Salineg ravel road in 38 minutes, 42 secondsfc George Wright being second. Artíhwr Pugh, or Racime, Wis., won tte first prize. climbing a halí-miile on Broadway hill in 2:45 2-5, William Frank, of tühis city, being second. Efifty wheclmen were in tJie procession. In the evening a barnet was s:rved in A. O. U. W. hall, J. E. Beal acting as toastmaster. Mayor Doty made tlie address of wel(come, Cliarles A. Conger, of Coldwater, Arthur Pugh, of Hacine, Wis-, and P. IGr. Hunt, of Grand Rapids, and JEr. Beal also made speeches, praised the good roads of the city and bore down upon sidewalk riders. Tke music was furuislied by the Ann AVbor Banjo and Cuitar club and yvtds hifehly praised.
