If some public-spirited Citizen, with an eye to business, wishes to satisfy a much-felt want in this city, he will use some of his surplus funds in the construction of cottages suitable for sniall families. Nearly all the houses in Ann Arbor are of extraordinary size, having been built for the purpose of accommodating roomers. The consequence is that many a small family, without any desire to do so, is obliged o take a large house and rent rooms. The demand for small houses is constantly increasing, and the person who purchases lots in some of the new but rapidly growing parts of the city, and erects cottages thereon, will be sure to realize handsome returns.
