Professor Tolomei, an Italian chemist, coneludes that the ozoae produced by electric discharges in a thunder storm coagulates milk by oxidizing it, and generates lactic acid. Mr. Treadwell, of the Wesleyan university, in discussing this, Btates that the actipn is not a mere oxidation, but is in part produced by the growth of bacteria, which is very rapid in hot, sultry weather. - New York Times.
