The coming county fair, September 29, 30, üctober 1 and 2, will undoubtedly be the greatest in the history of the association and the attendance should prove that the county appreciates good attractions. On Wednesday and ïlnirsday balloon ascensions and parachute drops will be made by Professor Bartholemew and Miss Gertie Carmo, who proved to be the greatest drawing cards at the Detroit Exposition. About $1,000 bas been put up as premiums for the races. The track is in much better conditiou this year than before. Governor Winani and Thomas W. Palmer, president of the World's Fair Commission, will be among the speakers on Thursday, and on that day, also, the Ann Arbor Light Infantry will give an exhibition drill. The Superior grunge band has been engaged to fuinish music three days of the fair. A pond is now being excavated f or an exhibition of fish. There are very many other attractions besides the fine display of stock, grains, fruits, vegetables, etc., which the best farmers of the county can raise. A fare of one and one-third for the round trip has been given by the Michigan Central and the Toledo, Ann Arbor & Northern roads. The entries in the live stock department close September 22.
