Mr. Fred Webb, of this town, is at present reading law in Judge Cheever's office. The fall term of school in school district No. 3, began Monday, with Miss Lou Markham, of Ann Arbor, as teacher. Miss Mary J. Forsythe,, of this township, 'has gone to the upper penĂnsula to teach in a graded school in Garden City, Delta county. At the last annual school meeting in the Roberts school district, Mrs. Sydney Rathfon was elected to fill the office of director for the ensuing three years. The coming agricultural exhibit in Ann Arbor will sobn engage the attention of the farmersjof this township. It will not be their fault if it does not prove a success. The funeral of the late Mr. J. Fiegel on Sunday last was largely attended by his relatives and friends, and his many sympathizing neighbors. The Rev. Max Hein, of Anh Arbor, officiated. The remains were deposited in Forest Hill cemetery in Ann Arbor. In the death of Mr. Fiegel, the community in which he has lived so long and well, has sustained a great loss, and his memory willeverbejcherished as an honorable man, a good friend, and a kind neighbor.
