Mrs. V. Dunning is on the sick list. A heavy rain visited Milán Monday night. Harry Whitehead is very ill with typhoid fever. Mr. George Chapman, the F. M. minister, is in Ohio. Mrs. M. Wallace visited friends in the country, Monday. Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Dexter are away on a visiting tour. The Milan band played at the Saline picnic last week. Mrs. O. A. Kelley visited Toledo relatives this week. Mrs. A. Smith is visiting relatives at Farmington this week. Mrs. Whitmarsh returned from her Ann Arbor visit Monday. Mr. A. Wisdon is putting a drive well on his place on County st. Rev. Mr. McGregor and family are moving to Ann Arbor this week. Ed Kinckerbarker and family left Tuesday night, for Hastings, Neb. Miss K. Knight returned from her Blissfield visit, Saturday night. Woolcott &Taylor will open their tonsorial parlors in the old bank building this week. Miss Ione Stannard, of Dexter, was the guest of Attorney Williams and family, Thursday. A large number of the Milan people are expecting to attend the Ann Arbor fair this week. Mrs. C. M. Fuller visited Mr. and Mrs. J. Sprague at Ann Arbor the first of the week. Miss Grace Huntington is visiting her brother, Mr. Geo. Huntington, in Detroit this week. Mrs. N. Taylor left for Boone City, Iowa, Tuesday, where she will visit her mother for a few weeks. The Baptists-will hold their harvest home festival and fair in the Blackmer block, Friday and Saturday. Miss C. Chapin left for Grass Lake, Wednesday, after a visit of four months with her sister, Mrs. Dr. Harper. Mrs. L. Coe and her daughter, Mrs. Heston, leave for St. Louis, Missouri, where they will make their home this winter. Rev. Chas. Case and family will leave for their home in Lambertonville Wednesday, where he will preach another year. The reception given in honor of Rev. G. E. Sloan and family, Wednesday evening, at M. C. Edwards' house, was well attended and the presents were numerous and beautiful.
