The quarterly meeting at the M. E. church Saturday and Sunday was well attended. Presiding Eider Rev. E. P. Rpan delivered an elegant sermón Sunday morning. Mr. Amos Wisdom is putting a new foundation under his house on County street. Mrs.Van Buren entertainedguests from out of town the first of the week. Mr. Warren Babcock, of the Agricultural'College, is at home in Milán for a few weeks. Miss Maud Reynolds will spend the winter vvith her brother in Bay City. Married, at Mr. Fullerton's, November 19, Mr. Walter Townsend to Miss Carrie Fullerton, Rev. G. E. Sloan officiating. Place's Musical Comedy Co. will give an entertainment at the Milan 'opera, house, Tuesday. Miss May McGregor opened her winter term of school, Monday, in the Mead district. Prof. J. Reynolds, the celebrated mesmerist, left for Cleveland (where ; he will give a two weeks' entertainment) Saturday night on the late train, after a week of interesting entertainments. Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Hiukley are entertaining friends from abroad this week. November has been a month of showers. Editor Smith and wife entertained guests from Monroe last week. Mr. J. C. Rouse will visit his son at Homer this week. Dr. Chapin visited in Ann Arbor last week. Mrs. Harper visited in Toledo last week. Mrs. Barnes, of Quincy, is the guest of her son, Mell Barnes, this week. Miss Fannie Day entertained guests from Morenci and Alma last week. Married, at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. Chas. Mellage and Miss Ida Daniels, Nov. 15, Rev. G. E. Sloan officiating. Mr. Hill visited Detroit last week.
