Editor Argus: As a reader of your paper for a number of years, I would üke to say; a few words in regard to sewerage and taxation. First, would it not be well enough for the schemers in this sewerage matter to wait until th-e taxpayers of this "very unhealthy" tity of Aun Arbor cali for eewerage, as the taxes are already onormous? Would it not be better poliey to reduce the taxes first? Second, if the city had sewers they would not be of any use without water to flood them with, which would cause the city to be, as it is now, at the mercy of au eastern company to pay their price for water rcgardless of justice. Would it not be best to start in right, get the water first and sewers afterwards? Third, Would not the few men who are at the bottom of this sehcme for sewerage, stand just as good a chance for the contract wben the taxpayers demand sewers as they now do, and a'so the party who is 1-ooking for the contract to furnish the sewer pipe stand equally as good a chance as now? I think so. It is time the taxpayers o" tha city began to open th?ir cyes in this matter and not let a few men make our taxes any h'gher un1i' i becom.'S a mattjr of necessity, or the majorlty of the taxpayers of this city demand it. Most Kespectfully,
