Warren Prescott died at the home of Jiie daugliter in Howell on Christmas day, aged 88 years. His remains were taken to Chelsea, where the fuineral was foeld on Saturday. Mr. Prescott was bom in Sanbornton, X. H., where he lived uiitil 182S. He moved to Michigan in 1S40. locating liirst near Flymouth, ín Wayne county. Two years later lie moved to Lyons, Ionia coiuity, where lie was engaged tin íarming and rañntng a hotel. Ia a few years tihe west offerel toducements to liim and he went to California, where he was engaged im l'arming and ranehing for sixteen years. He theti carne biiclí to Michigan and eettled in Chelsea, wliere he esngaged in the mercaatUe biusine for severa! years. Retiring frora this Jie ended his days ín peaee, living at , Chelsea for a t.ime and tilien coming to Ann Arbor and making hls 'humi ■with iliis daughter, Miss Sarah Pres cott, on 8. State street, for a mimber of yipars. A short time ago he went to Jivc with anptfher daughter ,at Howell, where he djed. The deceaaed was married In New Hampahire in 1826 to Eliza Hilliard wlioHlied rn 1880. He was the fathei of two daughters, both of wiiom art, livhlg - Sarah, in tlüs city, and Mar. at Howell.
