From the records of the undertateis of this city for the past year, it is sten tb at there has been a tot;il of 267 fujerals, including those bodies that h;e been taken away for burial and tluse that haye been brought here for inn"ment. Of this number the eausi is not given of the deatli in 28 cases, mt most of these were very young dren. ïhe record is complete in ne remaining 239, the dise.ases being as follows : Üld age, 28; heart disease, 3; consumptiou, 20; pneumonía, ití; y,iralysis, 11; grip, 11; diphtheria, 0, cáncer, 9; measlesaml inflammattonof the bovvels, 8 each; diopsy and inflaiimation of the lungs, 6 each; cónglstion of the lungs, blood poison aul peritonitis, 6 each; apoplexy, cholera infantum and paralysis of the b rain, 4 each; convulsions, spinal disease ard bronchitis, 3 each; brain fever, dyseitery, Bright's disease, malaria fever, child-birth, summercomplaint, typhuil fever and still-born, 2 each; asthmj, rupture. tonsilites, ulceration of thi stomach, chronic diarrhea, pleuru fever, abcess, cerebral hemorrhaga epilepsy, tubercular meningitis, hom orrhage of the lungs, hernia, exhaus tion, rheumatism, cramps and hoopiiu cough each claim a victim. By acei deut and otherwise, (5 have been killed by the cars, 3 have been drowned, 1 bT poison, 1 fatally shot, 2 by á brokei neck, and 2 burned to deatb. There are many ot those who have passed away who lived longer tlntt three-score-years-and-ten, the allctted age oí man, while twenty lived to see their eightieth year.
