"Worth a Guinea a Bo;:." From Fume, a Londor Newapaper. Mr. S , a che mist of Liverpool, received i bilí l'or the amount of 28s. from rhomas Beecham, Si. TIeleiis. Mr. S , beiug at the time in pecnniary difficuíties. pondered for ;i considerable time liow to meet the demand. At last a brlght idea flnshed across his mind, and he said. joyfully: "Yes, I will send Beecham a box of his own pilla -he says himselí they are worth i guinea a box- and geven shillings in cash.'' ïhishedid. In the conrse of a few days great was the surprise of Mr. S - to flnd that Beecham had forwarded the receipt, attached to which were the words, ' Casli only in future. Thomas Beecham." In the United States Beecham's Pilis are also advertised as universally aeknowledged to be "worth a guinea a i box"- but they are for sale by all drug! gists at 25 cents. Beecham evidently thinks it's best to ! hédge against such bright fellows as the Liverpool druggist turningupon i Vhis side of the water.
