The exercises ooiisisted of songs and recitations by the scliolars and a short address by Mina Brown, superintendent ol' tlie school. The school is one oL the best of our charitable institutions. Every Saturday afternoon during the past flve yer.rs, the faithfu! teachers have industriously taught the young girls, whose rĂ³others have nut luid the time, to sew airl do otber useful work. The school now has a Imndred scholars and the teachers, besides Miss Brown, areMrs. Doig and Mrs. Swindler, and Misses Armstrong, Fischer, Gofln. Bullis, Taylor, Stnrgis, Smith and Johnson.
