Wednesday was the day set for the Washtenaw Farmers Institute to be held at the court house, but sickness and other causes allowed but a small attendance. President Stocking was in the chair, but no quorum was present, only sixteen members putting in atteudance. ïhe small attendance was greatly regretted by those present and many reasons advanced for it, but the general sentiment was that the organizatiou was notjet ready to die, but that its members needed astirring up. This the members resolved to do, and the impnrtance of continuing the orgánization for mutual protection will be impressed upon not only the present members, but the farmers generally whoshould become members. After considerable discussion, it was decided to acljourn until Feb. ii4ih. when a meeting will be held at the court house. ïhe programme for this meeting will be made out at once, and will be published in the county papers. It will be a good onc and the farmers generally should make arraogements to be present.
