Elected New Officers
The independent military company held au entbusiaatic meeting at the link on Monday evening, and reeeived i large number of applications for membership. The most important action was changing the name of the organiation tothe "AnnArbor Rifles." The animal election of offlcers was held, the following being chosen: J. F, Schuh, captain; J. F. Iloelzle, first lieutenant; George E. A.pfel, second lieutenant; VVilliam Gerstner, Christian Schlenker, Oscar Burkhart, Paul Tessmer and Henry Meuth, directora. It was decided not to issue in vita - tions to the masquerade to be given on Feb. 22d, but to extend a general invitation to friends of the members.
