Inquines add responses show that iin unuaually large attendanee is to be expected. ïhere are 414 posts in Michigan belonging to the organization, the mimber of active delegatesto the department being over 800. lint a large number of members take advantage of the annual encampment to make it an aniuial reunión, so that the actual delegates do not represent over a quarter of the attendanee usually. The number at the last encampment was :,000, besides about 400 members of t!ie Woman's Relief Corps. Axnong the delegsites will be sorae of tlie most noted men of our state. A glance at these figures shows that Welch Post and our citizens generally have a large contract on baad to entertain so large a number of people. To entertain these guests will cost money. and to raise this nioney it will be necessary for our citizens to contribute as liberaiïy as they l'eel that they can afford. A committee, consisting of representativas of Welch Post anti of citizens who were not in the war has been appointed to solicit these funfls. Tlie connnittee will ask all our citizens to contribute something. The make-up of the various committees s guarantee that no extravagences will be inditlged in, but the funds will be judiciously used for the entertainment of our guests and to tlie best interests of our city.
