The dance at Wm. Carpenter's it Hudson, last Friday evening, was fairly well attended. Frank Carpenter has renterl the Wm. Stevens' farm near Birkett, and will soon take possession ot the place. F. Kranshaar, who has been visiting friends at Cleveland and vicinity, has returned after several weeks' absence. Adam Spiegelberg has rented his farm to A. Lesser and will soon move to Ohio, where he intends to run a farm for another man, but his chief work will be teaming. A number of chickens and a washing, which was hung out to dry, were stolen of John Hall one night last week. Mr. Hall tracked the thieves through the snow for two hours, but with no result.
