The Demócrata of Michigan will meet in State ooDvention in the Muskogon Opera House, in the city of Muskegon, on Wednesday, May 4tb, 1892, at 12 o'clock noon, for the purpose of eiectiug twenty-elght delégate to ho Democratie National Convention cal led to meet at Chicago. June ülst, 1892; for the selecHon of a Democratie State Central Commitieo to serve for the ensuing two years, and for the transaction of such other business as may properly come befor? it. This convention will elect two delegates and two alternutes at largo from the Rnsturn Electoral district; two delugates and two alternates at largo trom the Western Kleetoral district; twenty four Congressional District delegates and twonty-f'our Congrcssional District alternates (two delégales and two altérnate from ach ('onjrressionul district). It will also hoose two memhers of the Democratie State Central Committee from each Congressional district, and a chnirmau of the State Central Committee f rom the State at iarge. Accordlng to the rule adopted by the Demoratio stute convention held at Detroit in 1880 and Binee adhered to, every county in the state is entitled to ono delégate to the state convention for eaeh 50(1 votes cast for Governor at the last general election and one additional dele$ate lor a i'raction of not less than 280 votes. But each county is entitled to at least two liologates. All delegates tnuet be residents of rhe counties they represent. Tbe delegates from each Oonrressional district will meet incaucus at 10 o'clock a. m. on the day of the convention at places to be hereafter designated and select candidates for recommendatiou to the convention for two district delegates, two district alternates, two members of the State Central Committee, one vlce president of the convention and one membei for each of the followlng committees of the convention- Credontials, Permanent Ornization and Order of Business, and KesoluMODS. All voters of Michigan who favor the repeal of unjust laws permittiDg taxation for purpoaes other than the needs of government conomieally conducted; who desire reform in the prodigal expenditures of the public money and who are in sympathy with the deoiarations of principies of the Democratie party are cordlally luvitiíd to particípate in the selection of deleuatee to this convention. Under this cali Washtenaw county sentitled o a representation of 18 delegrates.
