Ern Howard is erecting a new barn. Mrs. W. Carpenter spent Tuesday at Pettysville. Miss Bessie Sweetman visited in Pinckney Tuesday. B. Hooker, of Pinckney, spent Sunday with friends here. T. Fagan, of Hamburg, made a short cali here on Monday. Ben Waite, of Grand Rapids, visited relatives here last week. John McGuinness, of Pinckney, called on friends here Tuesday. W. G. Taylor spent Sunday with her grand parents in Northfield. Charles Schoen and family entertained relatives from Freedom Sunday. Mr. A. Pidd and grandson spent the first of the week with relatives in Ypsilanti. Mrs. Alien and daughter, of Pinckney, were in this place on Wednesday. Charles McGilvary and wife, of Jackson, spent the past week with relatives here. Dr. George Miles, of London, Canada, is spending a few days with his cousins here. Rev. O. B. Thurston, of Pinckney, held services at the Birkett church on Sunday. E. S. Prudden, of ChelSea, is putting a drive well on the farm of Mrs. A. M. Chamberlain. Mr. and Mrs. John Scheiferstein, Sr., move to Dexter this week to make it their future home. I'. l,yons and wife, of Detroit, and M. Conley and wife, of Webster, visited at P. Fleming's on Wednesday.
