A change in the schedule of trains on the Michigan Central will take place Sunday. Arm Albor Commandery, K. T., will meet this evening and confer the order of the Temple. The work of putting the race track on the fair grounds in condition was completed last night. The machinery at the Michigan Table Co. 's factory has been set up and work will begin within a few days. The University Minstrels, our swell society boys in burnt cork, will appear at the opera house next Friday evening. . Fred Browne (notice the "e"- it isn't the editor of the Times) was sent to jail for vagrancy for ten days, Tuesday. The "point" between Detroit and Beakes streets is being graded under the supervision of the street commissioner. Washtenaw Chapter, R. A. M.; will hold a special meeting Monday evening for work on the P. M. and M. E. M. degrees. Prof. G. W. E. HUI, of Iowa, will deliver an address at the Unitarian church, Sunday afternoon, under the auspices of the I. O. G. T. Last Friday, Herman Hardinghaus, proprietor of the Northern Brewery, waived examination before Justice Pond and was bound over to the circuit court on the charge of selling beer at retail. The warrant for his arrest was issued several mouths ago. Messrs. Starr and Eeed, two Chicago lawyers, were in the city Monday and took the depositions of Prof. D'Ooge, Prol'. Walter and W. K. Chamberlain to be used in the suit brought by Prof. Kelsey against Albert Scott & Company and others for infringing the copyright on his "Ciosar's Gallic War." Mrs. Ann Marie, wife of John C. Schmid, of S. First street, died Wednesday morning from cancer, with which she has been afflicted for a year. The deceased was born in Wurtemberg. Germany, Nov. 28th, 1828, and was married iti Ann Arbor in 1851. Her husband and seven children survive her. The animal meeting of the Epworth League was held at the M.
