Díed, in thia city, May 23rd, 1893, in the S3rd year of her life, Mrs. Sarah W. Hunt, widow of the late Alfred H. Hunt, and mother of John W. Hunt, of this city, and E. H. Hunt, oí Grand Kapids. The deceased was bom in Oaeida county, New York, on February 7tli, 1810, and was married in Maren, 1831, to Alfred H. Hunt, at Utica, N. Y. They lived at Utica until 1847, when they moved to Anburn, N. Y. Later they moved to North Hampton, Mass., and made that city their home until they came to Ann Arbor in 1861. Mr. Ilunt died in this city in 1881. Mrs. Hunt was one of the brightest and most active of the old ladies in Ahn Arbor. Until three mouths ago she has been as well and active as a lady of 60, being specially interested in painting, in the church and in the work of the Ladies' Library Association. She was one of the founders of of this latter association and served as president of the organization for several years. She was an active member and worker in the Presbyterian church. Socially, Mrs. Hunt was one of the most agreeable of ladies and the experiences of her long life made her an enjoyable companion. She leaves a host of friends here to mouni her loss. oïhe deceased had been in feeble health since March but was confined to her bed for only ten days before her death, which was caused by lieart disease. ïhe funeral was held at her residence on N. State street Thursday afternoon at four o'clock.
