Drowning At Dexter
A sad drowning accident occurred at Dexter, Wednesday aíternoon. A little seven year oíd boy named Oirille ïodd was wading in the river near the bridge about a quarter of four o'clock when he slipped and feil into the deep water, going to the bottom. Ilis body was not recovered for threequartersof an hour, and when recovered life was extinct. George Ilines, the lineman of the telephone company in this city, was? at the scène of the accident about a quarter of an hour after it occurred and at once dove for the body. He dove eight or nine times and finally found the body by the side of a big stone and brought it up. The sad accident was the main topic of conversation thronghout the village.
