J. M. Ctitting was here over Sunday. A. L. Noble was in Detroit, yesterday. Karl C. Kern spent Sunday in Saline. Martin Haller is in Chicago on business. Mrs. W. G. Snow is visiting in Lansing. Miss Emma Weinmann is visiting in Monroe. D. F. Schairer spent Sunday at Bay View. Judge Cooley was in Lansing, Wednesday. E. F. Johnson is looking after his farm in Ohio. Mrs. Gayley-Brown is visiting her son at Toronto. Sheriff Dwyer spent Sunday in Grand Rapids. Dr. and Mrs. Paul C. Freer are at Old Mission. Mrs. J. J. Goodyear visited in Detroit this week. Dr. and Mrs. Flemming Carrow are at Old Mission. Daniel Flynn, of Jackson, spent Sunday in the city. John G. Fritz, of Mendota, 111., is visiting in the city. Prof. Honey, of Monroe, was in the city this week. Frank E. Sutton, of Detroit, was in the city, Tuesday. Mrs. L. H. Clement and children are visiting in Homer. Mrs. A. E. Warden left Friday for Ocean Grove, N. J. D. D. Dixon, of Dexter, was in the city Tuesday, on business. Mrs. C. W. Belser and family are at Cavanaugh Lake for the summer. Mrs. J. R. Bach and daughter returned from Howell, Saturday night. Hon. A. J. Sawyer drove to Saline, Monday afternoon, on business. B. F. Watts went to Saginaw Monday evening, for a few days' stay. Rev John Nuemann left Monday for Duluth, taking the boat at Detroit. Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Stimson left Saturday night for a visit at Hastings. George H. Snow, of the Detroit Evening News, was in the city, Sunday. Messrs. Spear and Chadwick, of Chelsea, were in the city Tuesday evening. Alonzo Edson, of Ypsilanti, spent Tuesday evening in the city, on business. Col. E. W. Bowen, of the First Infantry, M. S. T., was in the city, Saturday. Walter Seabolt and Gustave Graupner left Wednesday on a trip to Duluth. Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Miller, of Dexter, are visiting at City Clerk Miller's. Prof. W. W. Egan, of tha high school, is taking a trip down the St. Lawrence. Mrs. Dr. Howell, of Alpena, is visiting her daughter, Mrs. Dr. A C. Nichols. Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Adaras, with their children, are spending a few days at Jackson. Philip Hall, John Kinna and David Robinson are camping at Whitmore Lake. George Osius, of Detroit, has been spending part of the week with friends in the city. Mrs. William F. Larzelere left Wednesday for a two weeks' visit with friends in Ohio. Miss Eva Gray, of Akron, Ohio, was the guest of Miss Mina Shaw the first of the week. .Mr. and Mrs. Wm. L. Dorr, of Federal Point, Florida, are spending the summer here. Miss Emily Gwinner left for Zukey Lake, Tuesday, to join Mrs. Titus Hutzel and party. John R. Miner and family are now located for the summer at Strait's lake, near Pontiac. Miss Alta Parker and Miss Emma Haley, of E. F. Mills & Co.'s store, are taking vacations at present. J. R. McLaughlin, one of the builders of the Ann Arbor street raihvay, was in the city, Tuesday. Frank Pack, bookkeeper of the Farmers' & Mechanics' bank, is spending his vacation at Zukey Iake. J. D. Ryan left Monday for a trip to Duluth by boat. He was accompanied from Detroit by J. J. Quarry. E. H. Eberbach and Sam. Langsdorf are spending a couple of weeks at the Keystone club house, Zukey Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Titus Hutzel and Miss Lizzie Brehm went to Zukey Lake club house for a week last Friday. Prof. H. C. Adams returñed Friday night from Washington, where he has been for several weeks on business. H. W. Shoemaker, formerly managing editor of the U. of M Daily, and later of the Inlander, left Tuesday for Denver, Colorado. Herman V. Ames, instructor in history in the University, has rented the residence of Mrs. C. H. Richmond. Mrs. Richmond will spenc the coming winter in New York City.
