When congressional candidate Peters takes the stump as he promises, where will the voters take to? The railroad managers are satisfied. Rich was nominated for governor. Their aid to the Republican machine was timely. The average annual state tax in this county for the two Democratie years is $39,271.94. The average for the last four Republican years was $51,513.69. The reduction is $12,241.75 a year. That is a big argument for voting the Democratie state ticket. Joseph B. Moore, who was a candidate for state treasurer two years ago and lead his ticket, was badly defeated for nomination in the Saginaw convention. He charges that of the seventy-seven delegates from Wayne, fifty were Patriotic Sons of America. The watchword in the Republican convention was "No Catholic Need Apply."
