The barn on College Ilill addition belonging to Cónrath Bros. & Stetïee fas burned last Saturday night, ogether with üve tons of hay, a wagon, Utter, tools, etc, belonging to Comath 5ros. The loss on the barn is about 400 and on the contents over $250. 'he insurance was only $200. T,he fire s supposed to have been started by a ramp. At about twelve o'clock Snuday night the barn of Patrick Crogan, in iorthüeld, on the old Quigley farm, vas discovered to be on fire. Nothing n the barn was saved. The horses ïad luckily been turned out to pasture, but one cow which was in thé barn was consumed by the flames. All the vheat raised on the 100 acre farm was n the barn. A new buggy, a new nowing machine, sulky rakes, and naay other farm implements were burned. Nothing was left, not even a ïarness. The barn, which was a good ne 40 x 50 feet in size, was worth at east $(500. The insurance on the barn vas veiy light. The cause of the fire s unknown.
