Mr. J. C. Rouse did the exposition, Monday.

Mrs. S. Chapin left for Petoskey, Thursday morning.

Mrs. Fuller Dexter visited Tecumseh, Sunday.

Mr. A. Hayden is doing a fine brick and tile business.

Mrs. Smith entertained guests from Ypsilanti this week.

Mr. and Mrs. Arba Andrews are visiting Detroit this week.

Mrs. J. C. Harper returned from her Detroit visit, Saturday.

Mrs. A. Wisdom is entertaining a sister from Detroit this week.

Mrs. James Gauntlett entertained guests from Blissfield last week.

Mr. H. Whitehead, of Detroit, spent Sunday with Milan friends.

Mrs. Green has commenced work on her new house on First street.

Mrs. J. C. Harper is visiting friends at Grand Rapids this week.

Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Dexter have returned from their Napolean visit.

Mr. and Mrs. Lee Hitchcock have a fine restaurant and ice cream parlor.

Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Fuller are visiting friends in the country this week.

A fine raine storm visited Milan, Wednesday, which are gratefully received.

Mr. and Mrs. M. Barnes returned from their Zukey lake sojourn, Friday.

Mrs. Chas. Smith and sister, Miss Huff, left for Petoskey, Thursday morning.

Mr. Frank Johnson and family are at Detroit and Romulus visiting relatives this week.

A large number of the Milan people attended the Band tournament at Tecumseh, Thursday.

Miss Ona Andrews left for Iron Mountain, Monday, where she will commence her school work next Monday.

Mrs. Wilbur returned to her home in Quincy, Saturday, after a three weeks' visit with her daughter, Mrs. M. Barnes.

Mr. and Mrs. Heath, Mr. and Mrs. Hinkley and the Messrs. Woolcott were among the Tecumseh visitors, Thursday.

The fair committee meet at Mrs. J. C. Rouse's residence, Wednesday, 31st, to prepare work for the coming church fair.

James Kinne, near Milan, lost his house and contents by fire, Tuesday morning. Origin of the fire unknown. Loss, $800; insured for $300.

Married.--Mr. A. Crolians, of Milan, and Miss Rena Moon, of Mooreville, at the residence of the bride's parents, Aug. 28, Rev. H. Palmer officiating.

Mrs. Blinn and Lena and Lester returned from Lambertville, Thursday, and left for Ypsilanti, Friday, where they will make their home this coming winter.

Coralloid, owned by Mr. Chas. Guantlett, of Milan, is at the Columbus races where he captured the first money, $1,200, and lowered his record 3 3/4 seconds.

Married.--Monday, Aug. 22, Mr. Frank Bush and Miss May Whaley, at the residence of her foster parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Whaley, Rev. G. E. Sloan officiating.
