The flrst district Democratie representative couvention was held in this city last Friday. Z. Eauth was made chairman and S. W. Millard, secretary. E. B. Pond, Henry Paul, and P. J. Lehman were appointed a committee on credentials, and E. B. iïorris, J. J. Parshall, and Martin Seabolt a committee on permanent organization and order of business. Sheehan presented the name of Charles II. Kline, of Ann Arbor, for representative. Z. Roath presented the name of Charles II. Manly. Geo. Schwab presented the name of l'hilip Duffy. J. J. Parshall presented the name of Judge W. D. Harriman. C. Fritz, of Lima, presented the name of Walter 11. Dancer. r. J. Lehman, of Sylvan, presented the name of James Hagan. John Baumgardner seconded Charles II. Kline, and Prof. B.'M. Thompson seconded Judge Iïarriman's nomination.
